Frequently asked questions
Got a question? Hopefully it will be answered below, but if not please feel free to contact me.
What is counselling?
Counselling is a confidential “talking therapy” which allows you to speak freely about the difficulties in your life and be really listened to. I am not there to advise, but to listen without judgement, help you to explore the issues you are facing and to help you find a way forward that works for you.
When are you available?
I offer daytime and evening appointments on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Please contact me to discuss current availability and book a free introductory phone/video call.
How many sessions will I need?
Every situation is unique, so it’s hard to predict exactly how many sessions we will need to help you feel better. That being said, if you want very specific, solution-focused work in order to gain a few tools to cope, that may take only a few sessions. However, if you want to do some deeper work, get to know yourself better, figure out the patterns which are keeping you stuck and have longer lasting benefits, then there is no quick fix and this will take some time. As we get to know each other better we can talk about what feels right for you.
How much will it cost and how do I pay?
Each 50-minute session costs £50. You can pay via bank transfer on or before the date of your counselling session. If you cancel with at least 24hrs notice, you will be offered a full refund.
How do I make an appointment?
To book a free introductory appointment, please contact me or call me on 07307 686 505.
What will happen during my first session?
Your first appointment is entirely free. We will talk about what your struggles are, what brings you to counselling and what your goals are. It will be an opportunity for me to get to know you and for you to get a feel for how I work. I understand that you may be feeling anxious but I will do my best to help you feel at ease – you are in safe hands.
Where will sessions take place?
My practice is based in Bishopstoke, just outside of Eastleigh. I also offer online therapy which means sessions can take place from the comfort of your own home, wherever is convenient and private for you.
I have a different question…
No problem! If you have any other questions, I would love to hear from you.
